Willian has been linked with a move to the Spanish La Liga. But this time it is Real Madrid who have joined the fray.
Following a crash in their relationship, Willian admitted he was keen on exiting the club if former boss Antonio Conte had remained asthe Blues head coach.
The 30-year-old was formerly linked with a move to join La Liga champions Barcelona this summer.
However that never materialised. The Catalans pulled the plugs on his transfer after seeing their third bid rejected by Chelsea.
Chelsea had demanded they shell out over 70 million pounds for the former Anzhi Makhachkala star.
While the west Londoners may have succeeded in fending off interests from the Catalonia outfit, Real Madrid are in the frame and according to reports milling about, Chelsea are willing to sell the star to the La Liga giants.
The Blues had informed Real Madrid of the player’s availability, according to reports and are demanding an asking fee of 72 million pounds, says Mundo Deportivo.
Real Madrid however, will not be cajoled into splurging such outrageous amount for the Brazilian.
The same story states that Willian’s agent demanded an additional 9 million pounds payment, as part of the deal, one the Spanish club have refused.
The 30-year-old racked up 55 appearances for the Blues in all competitions last season, netting 13 goals.
